HEALTH TIP: Certain foods are considered “Yin” and will cool the body down naturally. Try lettuce salads with summer veggies, such as cucumber, zucchini, bell peppers, radishes, sprouts and mushrooms. “Yin” fruits include apples, pears, berries, cherries, plums. More cooling foods include bamboo shoots, bananas, clams, crabs, grapefruit, kelp, lettuce, muskmelons, persimmons, salt, seaweed, starfruit, water chestnuts and yes, watermelon.
